Wholesale Supplier Outreach Intern (In-Office – Ashburn, VA)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Wholesale Supplier Outreach Intern to support our growing e-commerce operations. This internship offers hands-on experience with direct supplier outreach, cold calling, and negotiation. The primary focus of this role is contacting suppliers by phone, building professional relationships, and sourcing profitable products for online resale.

This is an in-office position located in Ashburn, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively call and follow up with wholesale suppliers and distributors.

Clearly communicate our business model and sourcing goals to potential partners.

Identify new sourcing opportunities through online and offline research.

Negotiate terms such as pricing, minimum order quantities, and shipping conditions.

Build and maintain a supplier database, including call records and responses.

Request and organize product catalogs, price lists, and availability information.

Collaborate with the purchasing team to finalize supplier partnerships.

Stay up to date with supplier performance, market trends, and product demand.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong phone communication and persuasion skills — you should be confident and professional on calls.

Fluent in English; additional languages (especially Spanish) are a plus.

Comfortable with cold calling and speaking with new contacts daily.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to track outreach efforts efficiently.

Basic knowledge of e-commerce and online reselling is a plus, but not required.

Familiarity with Excel, email, and CRM tools.
