Business Operations Intern – Job Description

The Business Operations Intern will support daily operations at Nelia African Market by assisting with customer service, inventory organization, vendor coordination, and market research. This role helps ensure smooth store operations while promoting positive customer experiences and cultural engagement. The intern will gain hands-on experience in retail management, communication, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers and maintain a welcoming store environment

Support inventory tracking, stocking, and product organization

Help with receiving and displaying new merchandise

Conduct basic market research to understand customer needs

Assist with social media or promotional activities when needed

Support coordination with suppliers and community partners

Complete general administrative and operational tasks
