Overview:
The Office of Congresswoman April McClain Delaney is now accepting applications for Spring 2026 District Office Internships. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in public service, politics, community engagement, or policy implementation. Interns will work directly with staff in the Frederick District Office and gain firsthand experience supporting constituents and learning how a Congressional office operates.

Special consideration is given to students who live or attend school within Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Answer and process incoming phone calls and voicemails.
• Manage constituent casework requests and assist with related documentation.
• Support daily operations of a Congressional district office.
• Assist caseworkers by researching issues, contacting agencies, and communicating with constituents.
• Attend and assist with district and community events on behalf of the office.
• Conduct research on policies, district statistics, and related topics.
• Complete additional administrative or project-based tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school senior or current college student.
• Strong interest in politics, public service, or community engagement.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to helping others.
