About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to transform complex business data into actionable insights. You will create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that inform decision-making across our organization, with a particular focus on aviation safety data. The ideal candidate is passionate about turning data into strategic insights and has hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, and ArcGIS.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and interpret business data to generate meaningful insights and visualizations that inform decision-making.

Develop and maintain advanced dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS, or similar tools.

Translate business requirements into functional system designs and actionable BI solutions.

Collect, mine, manage, and analyze data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all outputs.

Conduct deep-dive analyses to support business initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and deliver effective BI solutions.

Stay current with BI tools and technologies, recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.

Work with data engineers and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and optimal BI performance.

Present findings and insights to senior management and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

2–5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.

Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.

Strong SQL skills with experience in data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences.

Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Aviation industry experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Understanding of BI concepts, data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting best practices.

Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).

Knowledge of cloud analytics platforms (AWS QuickSight, Redshift, Azure Synapse, Power BI).

Proficiency in designing and maintaining dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations.

Skilled in data storytelling and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data governance and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FAA).

Preferred/Additional:

Experience in BI development within regulated industries (aviation, government, finance, healthcare).
