Purchasing Intern
EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Intern. This position will be located at our manufacturing facility in Germantown, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate and assist with all buyer activities
- Assist in the procurement and on-time delivery of production material needed to support our multiple product lines, all of which are built at our factory located in Germantown, MD
- With guidance, established network of contacts and suppliers, buyer shall and negotiate pricing and delivery requirements for a wide range of electronic components
- Negotiations for secure supply and cost reductions with the existing supply base, as well as identify alternate suppliers to achieve the same goals
Education and Experience:
- GPA 3.3 or above
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a related field of study
- Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP as our ERP system and Microsoft Office as our productivity suite
