Rather than working in isolation, you will join a collaborative intern cohort, functioning as a unified team to manage the daily health, complex medical regimens, and behavioral progress of both high-performance training dogs and vulnerable rescues. A cornerstone of this internship is your direct integration with our professional veterinary partners; interns serve as vital liaisons, preparing detailed patient histories for vet visits, assisting with medical transport, and documenting precise clinical observations that directly inform DVM-led treatment plans. By participating in daily "shift-change rounds" and tracking the nuanced intersection of physical health and behavioral reactivity, you will gain the sophisticated diagnostic and handling skills required for high-level clinical practice.
