Position summary
Ahadu Christian Academy seeks passionate and nurturing Classroom Teachers to provide high-quality, Christ-centered instruction for elementary learners. Teachers will create a safe, engaging, and academically strong classroom environment that supports student growth in character, knowledge, and faith. The role includes lesson planning, instruction, assessment, family communication, and collaboration with school leadership and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Teach students in a classroom setting and maintain a positive, orderly learning environment.
- Plan and deliver daily lessons that are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with school expectations.
- Prepare teaching materials, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and developmental levels.
- Track student performance and provide feedback, grades, and progress updates.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to support student success.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, training, and professional development.
- Uphold school policies, Christian values, and expectations for student conduct.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Experience teaching children in a classroom or structured learning environment
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
- Commitment to the mission and values of Ahadu Christian Academy
- State teaching certification
- Elementary teaching experience
- Experience in private, faith-based, or start-up school settings
- Familiarity with interactive, play-based, or inquiry-based learning methods
