Event Management Internship - Washington Freedom

Event Management & Community Engagement Internship 

Organization: Washington Freedom Location: Maryland

Duration: Summer/Fall ( On need basis) 

Pay rate: $17 - $20/hr ( DOE) Type: Internship / Volunteer Internship / Academic Credit Eligible 

We are seeking enthusiastic and community-minded FCC students to participate in an exciting internship program focused on event management, public relations, and community engagement through cricket outreach initiatives. 

Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting public events, festivals, school programs, and grassroots sports development activities while working directly with community leaders, sponsors, and event organizers. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in planning and executing cricket promotional events, community festivals, school programs, and fan engagement activities 
  • Support cricket awareness campaigns and grassroots outreach initiatives 
  • Coordinate logistics for public events, sponsor activations, and community partnerships 
  • Help organize youth clinics, corporate events, cultural celebrations, and introductory cricket experiences 
  • Support event registration, guest relations, and on-site coordination 
  • Help build relationships with local schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations 
  • Represent the organization professionally at public-facing events

Comfortable working at festivals, fairs, school events, and outdoor activities 

Passionate about sports, community engagement, and cultural events 

 

Schedule & Commitment 

Interns may participate in: 

  • Weekend community festivals and fairs 
  • School outreach programs 
  • Evening or weekend promotional events 
  • Seasonal cricket clinics and community activities 

 

Flexible scheduling may be available to accommodate academic commitments.
