About the role
We are hiring two Sales Development Interns to join our Marketing team and own the very top of our sales funnel. You will work alongside experienced marketers and Business Development professionals to identify, engage, and qualify prospects across our Ideal Customer Profile — building the pipeline that drives the entire business forward.
What you will do

Build target account lists across our Ideal Customer Profile using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, intent data and your own research

Run multi-channel outbound cadences — typically 4 to 7 touches over 3 to 4 weeks across email, LinkedIn InMail, and (where appropriate) phone

Personalize outreach using intent signals, news triggers, and account research — no spray-and-pray sends

Track outreach activity, reply rates, and lead conversion in our CRM (Proposal Connect)

Hand off qualified leads to our BD Capture team with clear context: who they are, why they are a fit, what they care about, and what compelling event is driving them

Contribute to our prospecting playbook — what messaging works, which sequences convert, which ICP segments respond best

Coordinate with Marketing on campaign timing so your outbound reinforces (rather than duplicates) what is going out in paid and content channels

Participate in weekly 1:1s with your Marketing mentor and bi-weekly team reviews with the broader BD function
What we are looking for

Required

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree — any major. We have hired great interns from marketing, business, communications, English, psychology, and engineering

Strong written communication — you can write a concise, compelling email that sounds like a human

Genuine curiosity about B2B sales, and how businesses buy software/applications

Comfort with rejection — most outbound emails do not get replies, and that is normal

Detail-oriented and organized — you can manage 50+ accounts in motion without losing track

Comfortable working in CRMs and spreadsheets

Available 20–25 hours per week minimum, with consistent weekly availability

Nice to have

Prior internship or part-time experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or business development

Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, or similar

Coursework or stated interest in marketing, business development, or communications

What you will learn
This internship is structured as a learning experience first and a job second. You will leave with hands-on, resume-grade experience in:

The full B2B sales motion — from prospecting through deal close, including how each stage of the funnel actually works in practice

Modern sales tech stacks — CRM systems, intent data, sales engagement platforms, and how they work together

Qualification frameworks —the same frameworks used by enterprise sellers at major tech companies

Writing outbound that works — how to write cold email that gets replied to, and how to measure whether it is actually working

Mentorship — weekly 1:1s with senior Marketing and BD professionals, monthly career conversations, and direct exposure to how SaaS leadership thinks about pipeline

About the team
You will be part of a 14-person sales and marketing organization built to run an end-to-end SMB sales motion. The team is structured around six functions — Leadership, VP Sales, Marketing, Solution Engineering, Pricing, and BD Capture — and the goal of the Prospecting function is to deliver a steady flow of qualified accounts into the top of our funnel.
How to apply
Send your resume and a brief note (about 150 words) telling us about a time you persuaded someone of something. It could be selling a product, convincing a friend to try a restaurant, getting a teacher to extend a deadline, or anything else. We are more interested in how you think than what your GPA is. Please submit your application by Friday, May 22nd.
