Personal Trainer

Small Group Trainer / Personal Trainer (Part-Time)

About Us

Exsurgo Strong and Fit is a strength and conditioning facility focused on helping people perform better, move better, and live healthier lives. We serve a diverse membership base ranging from adults in their 20s to active adults in their 60s. In addition to coaching, we are also a certified research facility that integrates sports science, performance testing, and data-driven training into our programs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Small Group Trainer / Personal Trainer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates looking to gain hands-on coaching experience while learning from experienced strength and conditioning professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Coach small group training sessions and personal training clients
  • Assist members with exercise technique, movement quality, and training execution
  • Create a positive, professional, and motivating training environment
  • Support member onboarding and assessments
  • Help collect and organize performance and fitness assessment data
  • Assist with facility operations and member engagement
  • Continue developing coaching skills through mentorship and ongoing education

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Sciences, or related program
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Current AED/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve as a coach
  • Availability during morning and/or evening training hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Personal Training or Group Exercise certification (NSCA-CPT, CSCS, NASM, ACSM, ACE, etc.)
  • Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
  • Previous experience coaching individuals or small groups
  • Interest in sports performance, strength and conditioning, and hybrid fitness
  • Desire to participate in research projects, athlete testing, and performance assessments

Schedule
