Software Developer

OSS, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD and unanticipated sites throughout the US seeks a Software Developer. Design, develop, test, and support software applications, including web-based, client/server, and cloud-based applications hosted on AWS. Analyze production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and participate in defect triage to resolve application issues. Develop validation scripts to confirm production code fixes and ensure system stability. Document and track software defects using JIRA and JAMA, assigning appropriate priority and coordinating resolution with development teams. Perform backend validation using PostgreSQL and MySQL databases to confirm data integrity and application functionality. Develop complex SQL queries to support JDBC performance validation. Create and execute automated test scripts using UFT, Java, Selenium WebDriver, and data-driven testing frameworks. Conduct sanity, regression, and end-to-end testing across development, sandbox, and production environments. Validate web service integrations and interface calls using Selenium, SOAP UI, and REST tools. Support pre- and post-production deployment activities and code promotion. Participate in Agile software development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives, while following SDLC and STLC methodologies. Review business and technical documentation, including BRDs, functional design documents, and system requirement specifications. Collaborate with reporting teams to support dynamic data reporting using Tableau. Support CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins job executions, Git version control, and code merge activities across multiple application streams.

Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the position of Software Developer, Software Engineer, Application Developer, Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or a related occupation. Salary: $101,421 / year.
