What Your Responsibilities Will Be As a Medical Assistant

• Proper intake of the patient (history and chief complaint) 
• Documenting during the exam on our EMR system 
• Assisting with Medical Procedures such as removing sutures, administering local anesthetic, and applying patches for allergy testing and transcribing reaction strengths 
• Deliver patient education and documentation on disease, would care, medications, and pathology Reports and diagnosis. 
• Properly conducting Prior authorizations for medications/sending medications to pharmacy as prescribed by Provider 
• Schedule follow up appointments at the end of each exam 
• Responding timely to messages sent by patients to you or the team (24 hours) 
• Ensuring start of day/end of day tasks are completed 
• Completing all duties in accordance with HIPAA and other medical regulations 
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What we look for:

• EMR experience and fluent in a variety of software packages 
• Graduate of an approved school or at least 1 year of Clinical Medical Assistant experience 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Organization, punctuality, professionalism and a presentable, polished appearance 
• Eagerness to grow and learn with the company 
• The ability to work in a fast pace team environment and being able to adjust to different Provider's styles and preferences 
• Dedication and compassion to patients and being able to deliver exceptional customer service 
• May be required to assist in local clinics if needed** 
• We do not require Certification for our Medical Assistant's**
