Workforce Development Intern
As an intern with Carroll County Workforce Development (CCWD), you will assist CCWD Young Adult staff with the daily administration of the 6-week Summer Youth program. The work you do will help support up to 75 youth, ages 16-18.
Essential Duties
- Act as first line of contact for youth participants. Identify job performance issues and share with appropriate CCWD staff.
- Asist with job development and matching youth participants to employers. Confirm work schedules and job duties with employers and participants.
- Visit employer site and conduct two check-ins for each youth participant over program duration.
- Collect weekly timecards for participants. Create and maintain database with timecard information.
- Assist with creation of enrichment activity materials and delivery of program activities.
- Assist Young Adult staff with other administrative activities as needed for program delivery.
- Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
- Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn. Participate in a supportive work environment.
