Ring & Seal Design Engineering Intern
Position Summary
The SKF Ring & Seal Design Engineering Internship/Co-op program is organized to involve the individuals in the design, development, manufacturing, and quality assurance of high-performance mechanical sealing solutions. The individual will apply learned concepts to dedicated and on-going projects, as well as learn new skills in order to achieve the determined goals.
Selected applicants will work with the design engineering team for the duration of the internship. A main project will be provided to be completed within the specified time. Mentors will assign tasks, provide guidance, and review progress of projects. This position is ideal for students in their sophomore year and above. The primary location for this position is Hanover, PA.
Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for performing the following, including, but not limited to:
- Work with mentor(s) on a multi-week assigned project
- Support design, manufacturing, and quality engineering with assigned projects and tasks
- Support research and development testing with test sub-system design and validation
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Attending a four-year institution for mechanical engineering
- GPA of 2.75 or better preferred
- Experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience with hand tools and safety equipment preferred
- US citizenship
