Correctional Deputy Probationer

This position is for CERTIFIED correctional officers who possess one of the following:

• Maryland (MPCTC) Corrections Certified Applicants
  • 1 to 23 months of CORRECTIONS EXPERIENCE
• Out-of-State Corrections Certified Applicants
  • 1 to 23 months of CORRECTIONS EXPERIENCE

Candidates who possess Out-of-State corrections certification must have their certification evaluated by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) for Maryland equivalency. Completion of a corrections academy within one year of hire may be required for candidates possessing Out-of-State corrections certification. This position requires working days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

This position is responsible for full correctional duties, and reports directly to a 1st line supervisor.
